Purpose:
The fiber optic option is a fiber optic bundle for use with LAMTEC F200K and F300K compact flame monitors. Fiber optics are used on burner installations where direct flame viewing is poor or not possible and/or where high process temperatures prevent locally mounting of the flame scanner.
The fiber optics are permanently cooled using purge air; the maximum permitted operating temperature Tmax on the process side is 350 °C.
The fiber bundle itself is designed for max. 200 °C (constant temperature).
The following flame scanners in the fiber optic version can be used for the various applications:
• F200K-FO, F200K-FO Ex-II
• F300K-FO, F300K-FO Ex-II
